Journey to Israel and Palestine with Sabeel

On June 13, I leave Denver and travel to Amman, Jordan, to begin a pilgrimage to learn about the lives of Palestinian Christians living in Israel and Palestine - their lives and their work to bring peace to this troubled land and to create a place of hope for the children of their communities. I will be traveling with Friends of Sabeel, "an international peace movement initiated by Palestinian Christians in the Holy Land who seek a just peace based on two states - Palestine and Israel - as defined by international law and existing United Nations resolutions. Sabeel promotes theological, moral, and legal principles for peace" (read more: http://www.fosna.org/) . In Arabic Sabeel means "The Way" and also a "Spring of Water."

Along with a dozen others traveling from the United States, I will accompany Palestinian sisters and brothers and others on "The Way," as they work to bring peace to Israel and Palestine. I'll post my notes on the trip as I travel and have access to the internet. Join me on the journey!
